the gr8 db8
The articles we read today in class, where about a women named Nancy Wilson, She developed a system that allowed students to see their grades on line by them seeing a sequence of lights. Such as red, green, yellow. The way it works is a student can tell his or her grade by the color of the light green would mean passing , yellow would mean barely passing , and red would mean failing. I believe that this is a good system because today most students don’t even know if they are failing due to lack of resources. Then another Article was saying that O.C.U has a program for freshmen that they provide an I phone a lap top, and internet. My opinion is simple if a student needs all the resources that they can get, then it benefits them well. But if a student’s dose fine in a class without then that would be best, because there would be less of a distraction. Speaking of distractions. We had a great debate about texting issues. Studies prove that people who use texting early on tend to have a harder time adjusting to the proper grammar. Even though not always a problem but it does seem to cause litery problems. I think the miss use of cell phones can cause major damage because one gets use to the abribations. I know once I was out of high school and the new texting king, I had a very difficult time breaking that very bad habit. And the whole idea about getting a free I phone, lap top, and internet sounds great because I could use all three of those day and night. I wouldn’t mind the hole red light green light, I think it’s a fine clean way for the teacher to let all students know their status .
